Roberta Boffo, based in Motta di Livenza, Italy, is renowned for her monochromatic work, which balances black and white with subtle characters and motifs. Her creative journey began by designing for her parents' fashion business- then studied Chinese and Asian languages and cultures at CA ‘Foscari University of Venice, then business and marketing in Beijing. After graduating, she opened a gallery and art studio in Hong Kong, becoming a renowned published artist.

Buffo's art is intuitive and random, using broad brushstrokes and fine liners to highlight movement or shadow creating fluid feelings of repetition and spontaneity. Through the repetitive act of her symbols and marks she creates art within the process of her pieces which she shares on her social platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest. 

Boffo's work showcases her skill and patience in capturing the unique contrasts of black and white, shape, colour, and techniques. Her use of calligraphy brushes and fine liners allows audiences to see the intimate connection with their art. The symbols she uses act as a form of language, suggesting a connection between the artist and their work. By integrating communication, Boffo invites people to explore the meaning of her work and its impact on them.
